Hawk on the Hunt Shower Curtain

I spent a solid hour with this magnificent red-tailed hawk along the Mystic River just outside of Boston...it was lovely. As she took off or landed, I got a sense that even this impressive raptor thought twice about stepping on/off a branch and feeling gravity's effects, trying to spread her wings while surrounded by branches...then 2 strokes and she was off, the perfect flying machine.
